The Fabricated Hadith That Becomes the Testament for the Emergence of Dajjal in the Persona of Mahdi
Dissection of Hadith 19 Paragraph 258-1 from Bihar Al Anwar Volume 36 Chapter 40
Introduction
Hadith 19 consists of 24 paragraphs, spanning from page 258 to 262. Paragraph 258-1 from Hadith 19 in Bihar al-Anwar introduces a strange narrative.
It is claimed that during the reconstruction of the Kaabah by Ibn al-Zubayr, an ancient document with writings was found on top of large stones, which was then hidden and kept secret.
This narration is not a mere minor story. It is the beginning of a grand fabrication attempting to establish the false idea that this religion requires an "additional testament" beyond what was conveyed by Rasulullah SAW.
This dissection will prove that narration 258-1 is a form of fabrication against history, religion, and creed, in contradiction to the Quran, the authentic Sunnah, natural human intellect, and historical facts.
1. Criticism Based on the Quran
1.1 Principle of Islamic Da'wah: Open, Clear, and Without Secrets
Islam is built upon the principle of absolute openness. Every teaching, law, and revelation was conveyed publicly to all of humanity.
Nothing was kept exclusively for elites or close family, much less hidden in secret forms.
Allah SWT says:
"O Messenger! Convey that which has been revealed to you from your Lord; and if you do not, then you have not conveyed His message at all; and Allah will protect you from mankind. Indeed, Allah does not guide the disbelieving people." (Surah al-Mā'idah, 5:67)
Explanation:
Rasulullah SAW conveyed the entire religious message perfectly, leaving nothing hidden.
If any part of the religion needed to be hidden until it was discovered from stones, it would directly nullify the meaning of this verse.
Summary:
Narration 258-1 violates this principle by introducing the idea that there was a hidden testament, implying Islam was not complete without a mysterious document.
1.2 Revelation is Delivered Through the Rasul, Not Through Stones and Minerals
Allah says:
"And We did not send any messenger except [speaking] in the language of his people to state clearly for them, and Allah leaves astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise." (Surah Ibrahim, 14:4)
Explanation:
Revelation must come through the tongue of Rasulullah, with clear articulation to humanity.
Revelation in Islam was never delivered through mute and inanimate objects like stones or hidden manuscripts.
Summary:
Narration 258-1 attempts to implant the concept that Islamic revelation could be mysterious and occult, contradicting the clear and manifest nature of revealed guidance.
2. Criticism Based on Authentic Hadiths
2.1 No Authentic Hadith Supports the Discovery of a Secret Book in the Kaabah
In all authentic narrations, including Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, the reconstruction of the Kaabah by Ibn al-Zubayr is mentioned, but no narration states the discovery of any ancient manuscript or inscribed stones.
The authentic hadith only states:
"Were it not that your people have recently abandoned ignorance (Jahiliyyah), I would have demolished the Kaabah and rebuilt it upon the foundation of Ibrahim." (Sahih al-Bukhari, no. 1586)
Explanation:
The reconstruction of the Kaabah was an effort to restore its original foundation, not a mission to uncover hidden revelations.
There is no existence of any hidden document discovered during Ibn al-Zubayr’s project.
There is also no evidence that Rasulullah SAW instructed the planting of time capsules for future generations.
Summary:
Narration 258-1 is a fabrication with no basis in authentic narrations, let alone in mutawatir reports.
2.2 Concealing Knowledge is a Major Sin
The Prophet SAW said:
"Whoever is asked about knowledge and he conceals it, Allah will bridle him with a bridle of fire on the Day of Resurrection." (Reported by Abu Dawud, no. 3658)
Explanation:
Concealing knowledge is a major sin in the sight of Allah.
If the document truly contained religious knowledge, it would have been obligatory to spread it, not to hide it.
Summary:
Narration 258-1 claims that the workers hid the discovery. This contravenes the principle of disseminating knowledge in Islam.
3. Criticism Based on Logical Intellect
3.1 Islam Does Not Require a "Secret Book" to Be Perfect
Islam was completed during the lifetime of Rasulullah SAW, as Allah SWT stated:
"This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as your religion. But whoever is forced by severe hunger with no inclination to sin - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful." (Surah al-Mā'idah, 5:3)
Explanation:
There is no place in Islam for any secret book needed to complete the religion that has already been perfected.
The concept of a "book upon a stone" is a fabrication of the human mind that contradicts the inherent perfection of Islam.
3.2 It is Illogical for Allah to Place Religion Upon Stones
-
Stones are lifeless objects and cannot serve as intermediaries for revelation to humanity.
-
Allah appointed human beings as messengers to convey His words, not to hide revelations atop stones.
Explanation:
This narration betrays the nature of Islam as a living religion that communicates through human beings, not through lifeless objects.
4. Criticism Based on Historical Records
4.1 Ibn al-Zubayr Was Never Known for Discovering a Secret Book
Ibn al-Zubayr was an Islamic fighter who strove to uphold justice against the tyranny of the Umayyad dynasty.
His efforts in rebuilding the Kaabah were intended to restore it to the foundations of Ibrahim, not to search for mysterious documents.
Authentic historical facts have never confirmed any discovery of inscribed stones or ancient books during his time.
Historical Conclusion:
Narration 258-1 is a fabrication falsely attributed to Ibn al-Zubayr to lend false credibility to a fabricated document.
Final Conclusion
Aspect | Criticism |
---|---|
Quran | Islam does not support secret revelations. All messages must be conveyed openly. |
Authentic Hadith | No authentic narration supports this story. Concealing knowledge is a major sin. |
Logical Intellect | A perfected religion needs no secret additions. Stones are not mediums of revelation. |
History | Ibn al-Zubayr was not involved in discovering a secret book; he only rebuilt the Kaabah physically. |
Thus, Hadith 19 paragraph 258-1 from Bihar al-Anwar, Chapter 40 Volume 36, is a lie aimed at implanting deception into the religion, paving the way for the fitnah of the false Mahdi controlled by Dajjal.
To be continued in the next series with Paragraph 258-2.
