Part 5: The Continuation of Prophet Ibrahim’s Prayer and the Purification of Makkah in the End Times
The Living Prayer of Prophet Ibrahim
Reflect on the heartfelt prayer of Prophet Ibrahim as recorded in Surah Ibrahim:
رَبِّ ٱجْعَلْ هَـٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدَ ءَامِنًۭا وَٱجْنُبْنِى وَبَنِىَّ أَن نَّعْبُدَ ٱلْأَصْنَامَ
"My Lord, make this city safe and keep me and my children away from worshipping idols."
(Surah Ibrahim 14:35)
"O our Lord! I have settled some of my descendants in a barren valley near Your Sacred House, O our Lord, so that they may establish prayer. So make hearts among the people incline toward them and provide them with fruits that they might be grateful."
(Surah Ibrahim 14:37)
This is not an ordinary supplication. It is a long-standing plea made by Prophet Ibrahim — one that remains alive until this day. It is proof that from his lineage would rise a people who would continue the Hanif mission — to purify this sacred city from all forms of idolatry and modern oppression.
This is not merely a prayer for protection. It is a warning — that the ultimate test of mankind is to uphold tawhid in a city that was divinely chosen and constructed through revelation: Makkah al-Mukarramah.
But today, is Makkah still pure from idols? Or has it once again been desecrated — not with stone idols — but with systems of riba, global capitalism, liberal ideologies, and materialistic tourism that reduce the Kaaba into a mere attraction?
How Does Prophet Ibrahim’s Prayer Connect Makkah to the Whole World?
Let us return to this prayer of Prophet Ibrahim in Surah Ibrahim:
"O our Lord! I have settled some of my descendants in a barren valley near Your Sacred House, O our Lord, so that they may establish prayer. So make hearts among the people incline toward them and provide them with fruits that they might be grateful."
(Surah Ibrahim 14:37)
He prayed for his descendants in Makkah — that they receive rizq from thamarat (fruits) so that they may be thankful.
The Sacred Land of Makkah, whose borders were divinely marked during the time of Prophet Ibrahim and reaffirmed by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, remains a desert by nature. Therefore, we must distinguish between:
-
Its natural state as a sacred land.
-
And the limited possibility of bearing fruit without modern technology.
By its natural characteristics — low rainfall, rocky and sandy soil, absence of rivers — Makkah cannot grow various fruits naturally. Some desert plants and rare fruits may exist, but they are scarce and cannot sustain a population.
Only dates (تمر) are naturally viable in this terrain. Grown in oasis-like conditions, they remain the most probable fruit. Wild grapes and sidr (lotus trees) may grow around the Hijaz region, but even these are rare within the Sacred Boundary itself.
Hence, without external provision, it is nearly impossible to grow abundant fruits there.
That is why Ibrahim's prayer includes:
مِّنَ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ — "from the fruits"
This implies provision coming from elsewhere — from lands that are fruitful. This aligns perfectly with the promise that the final purification of Makkah will come from beyond — from a people who live in a region described as a "jannah" full of fruits: the Nusantara.
Makkah and the Mission of Purification
Before Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was sent, Makkah had long been a center of worship. But it was deeply corrupted with idols, superstition, and systems that no longer honored the One True God.
Today, the same corruption returns — cloaked in modernity.
Capitalism suffocates the Haram.
The names of Allah are replaced with corporate brands. Duas are priced. Prayers are ticketed. Worship is fenced by protocols, injections, and VIP lanes.
Is this not a new form of idolatry? Is this not a betrayal of Prophet Ibrahim’s sacred supplication?
In the hadiths of the End Times, it is foretold: The Kaaba will be fought over. Islam will be destroyed from within. And only its name and rituals will remain — empty.
So where is the hope?
It lies in another prayer of Prophet Ibrahim:
رَبَّنَا وَٱبْعَثْ فِيهِمْ رَسُولًۭا مِّنْهُمْ يَتْلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَـٰتِكَ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ
"Our Lord! Raise from among them a Messenger from themselves, who shall recite to them Your revelations, teach them the Book and wisdom, and purify them. Truly, You alone are the Almighty, the All-Wise."
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:129)
Prophet Ibrahim and the Call to the People of the East
When Prophet Ibrahim left his descendants in a barren valley, he knew the risks. But he believed — that from his seed, a people would rise, who would accept the Messenger, receive the Book, and establish prayer.
And who are those people, if not us — the people of the East — the heirs to the Hanif legacy?
We are the ones awaiting the Hour of Awakening.
But before this awakening, there will be a great fall.
As stated in Part 3, the As-Sa’ah will arrive — a divine punishment that sweeps the earth:
-
From beneath — the collapse of dams, destruction of water systems.
-
From above — rising seas, massive floods.
-
From the heavens — the long-delayed kisfan will descend.
Nusantara Will Be Destroyed — But Not Abandoned
When this land breaks, not all will perish. A remnant shall survive — not through wealth or strength — but through faith, repentance, and divine protection.
They will migrate. But where to?
To Makkah — the center of the earth, and soon, the epicenter of final purification. Not just geographically, but spiritually, politically, and prophetically.
And from these survivors will rise a movement — the Black Banners from the East.
They will not seek fame. They will not serve any worldly power. They will come with belief and preparation.
The Black Banners and the Final Purification
This army of the Black Banners is not myth. They are the answer to Prophet Ibrahim’s prayer.
Among them is a man — not yet a leader, hidden among the ranks. He is the Mahdi — not yet declared, but already protected.
He will not rise alone. He will be brought to Makkah. And we — the survivors of the As-Sa’ah from the East — will be the ones to carry him there.
And when the Mahdi is finally pledged allegiance at the Kaaba, Prophet Ibrahim’s prayer will be fulfilled. The cycle of tawhid will be complete — from the building of the Kaaba, to its final purification.
We Will Return to the Center of the Earth
Prophet Ibrahim came from the East of Sham to this valley. Dhul-Qarnayn ventured East. Dawud and Sulaiman built empires and returned to sanctify the center.
So will we — the last remnant of the Saba’ people. We will not remain scattered.
We will be returned to the land of the original mission. But this time, not with luxury — but with the responsibility of purification.
And if we reject this call, Allah will replace us — with a people more obedient and prepared.
